Naruto: Slugfest Closed Beta is Up, Believe It!
An MMORPG set in the world of Ninjas is what Naruto: Slugfest is all about. You get to create your own ninja character and develop their skills to become the ultimate shinobi. In the game, players also brush shoulders with characters from the anime, interacting with them in the lively Ninja world. The game has just recently entered closed beta, and its recent launch party in the Philippines made waves for Filipino anime fans.
Learn Ninjutsu In the Ninja World
Naruto: Slugfest allows players to create their very own ninja avatar. Players choose from four different classes: Berseker, Geisha, Archer, and Assassin. Each class have their own set of skills and excel in different aspects of combat. Your ninja character will befriend the famous shinobi from Naruto: Shippuuden. Friendly ninjas could accompany the player character throughout different quests, helping them in combat and unfolding the Naruto: Shippuuden story by their side.
Developer GameSamba made sure that the open 3D world they created for this new MMORPG stayed true to the anime. They built beautiful landscapes and rendered models to capture the art style of series creator Masashi Kishimoto. The result is an outstanding open ninja world that is vibrant. Playing the game will make you feel like you’re part of the anime. Environments also change as time goes by in-game. Weather, climate and time of day change while playing, making the world feel alive.
Welcoming Party for the New Game
The game has been exclusively tested by publisher Cubinet with Filipino players. Cubinet gained the publishing rights for the game for the SEA region but chose to test the game solely in the Philippines. Since August, testers have helped GameSamba improve the game. With the announcement of the start of the closed beta, fans of the game have joined together to celebrate this milestone in the game’s lifetime.
Last December 3, the Naruto: Slugfest met together in a launch party organized by Cubinet. They filled the Movie Stars Cafe at Eton Centris with Naruto figurines, statues, and other models from the hit anime series. There were also cosplayers who came to show their support towards the game and the community.
In the launch party, it was revealed that the game will be made available through CBT this coming January 2020 for Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, Australia, Philippines, and India. Meanwhile, pre-registration for the game is now up on its official website. The game will eventually launch for both Android and iOS devices.
